Scorch nailed it. Biggest motivator, possibly the only motivator, is paying alimony, child support, school fees, etc, for 4 ex wives plus numerous groupies' 'love children'. I can't believe for one second they still want to be doing that tired old schtick at their ages. It's undignified.

Probably 'There's no fucking way I'm going to be like that ridiculous old cunt making a tit of himself hobbling round on stage' when looking at the previous generation.
But time changes everything. And probably the need for money to keep up lifestyles and pay child support bills, or even keep one's self afloat unless they made enough for a lifetime when they were young...
And probably just the love of it and not wanting to let go. Also you'd probably argue there's a decent amount of nostalgic demand which brings the money, so why not?
